BlackBerry Z30 Launched :
The king of QWERTY phones- BlackBerry is facing a tough competition at the time when touchscreen devices are a rage. But, this doesn’t means that the company is backing down without any efforts. It launched an all new touch centric BB 10 OS at the beginning of this year with two flagship devices Z10 and touch-cum-qwerty Q10. However, due to high pricing and average configuration, the devices did not do very well. Now, to ride on the success of phablets, company has launched a device called BlackBerry Z30 which is having the largest display ever in a BlackBerry phone. Let’s see some of the key features of the device .
Design and Display :
The Z30 has a dual tone design with the Black and Silver color giving it a nice and distinct look. At the sides, volume keys are available at right, while the micro USB port is present at left. The top houses the power button, which BlackBerry Z30 has stereo speakers and a Natural sound technology ensuring the voice and video calls are of excellent quality.
The Z30 sports a 5 inch display with HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels, resulting in decent pixel density of 294 ppi.
Hardware and Software :
Display is not the only talking point of the device, unlike the previous smartphones being powered by dual core processors, the Z30 has a mighty quad-core Snapdragon processor clocked at 1.7 GHz. It also has Adreno 320 graphics processor. In memory department, the device has a 2 GB RAM and a generous 16 GB internal storage. Users can also expand the memory with the help of micro SD card up to 64 GB. For connectivity, the device supports 2G/ 3G/ 4G network, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, NFC and GPS. The smartphone is loaded with Li-ion battery of 2880 mAh capacity.
The smartphone runs on the latest BB OS version 10.2. There are several interesting features like peek mode giving glance to all the notifications. The OS makes intuitive use of gestures for opening of apps and multitasking capabilities. The OS also brings the USB on the go functionality which allows one to plug their USB drives and see their files. It also has a Miracast supports which streams the phone’s screen to the compatible TV.
For photography enthusiasts, the smartphone offers an 8 MP camera at the back with auto focus and LED flash. It has several useful features like geo-tagging, face detection, etc. The camera also records Full HD videos at 30 fps and provides video stabilization feature as well. For video calling needs, the device has a 2 MP camera at the front.
